bhamranked.

The promise

No business has ever paid for placement on bhamranked. No meal has ever been comped. No piece on this site was reviewed, edited, or approved by the business before publication. If that ever changes, you'll see it labeled clearly and we'll separate the editorial side from the commerce side completely. The rankings on this site reflect one person's honest experience after visiting each spot in person.

How rankings are made

[OWEN INPUT NEEDED: 150-300 words] How you actually rank places. Food first then atmosphere then value? What gets a spot up-ranked? What gets one down-ranked? Does the room matter, does service matter, does the price-to-quality ratio matter, does the neighborhood vibe matter, and in what order. In your own words, the way you'd explain it to a friend who asked.

What we don't do

  • We don't accept paid placement.
  • We don't run sponsored content disguised as editorial.
  • We don't link out to affiliate offers from editorial pieces.
  • We don't use AI to generate first-person content or fake visit details.
  • The author visits every spot in person and writes from real experience.

Corrections and updates

If a piece has an error of fact (a wrong address, wrong hours, an ownership change we missed), email [email protected] and we'll fix it within 48 hours. Major corrections get a dated note at the bottom of the affected piece.

Every piece has a last_verified date. When it's been more than 6 months since the last visit, we revisit before that date updates. If a business has closed or changed hands, the affected piece gets a banner at the top noting the change while we update the ranking.

What changes will look like

This page itself is dated. The last-updated stamp at the top of the page reflects the most recent change to the policy. If the policy ever changes (for example, if bhamranked someday accepts advertising), that change will be announced on this page with the date, the reason, and what the new clean-lanes separation looks like. We won't quietly change the rules.
